Time for schoolis a US PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) TV series which follows students in schools in 7 countries - Afghanistan, Benin, Brazil, India, Japan, Kenya and Romania - over a period of years.

It delves into the schooling available to them, and some of the social, economic, family issues related to education.  The goal of the documentary series is to highlight the Millennium Development Goals for primary education for all.

I hadn't heard of the

I hadn't heard of the Millennium Development Goals before.

I feel like there is a push to bring more technology to the developing world so I wonder about how education will be affected by this, because it opens the possibility of distance education.  Though for example, as I understand there are many places in Africa where the technological infrastructure is just not even close to what we have here in the US, very low bandwidth, etc.   ..  It will be interesting to see how it develops

Anyway I am trying to stay ahead of these types of trends, I keep a blog on my website at http://www.universitydistancelearning.com if you have any ideas or ways we could collaborate let me know
