CAS programme at the INDUS International School is pursued across the curriculum from IB PYP through to the IB Diploma programme with a varied focus with the one common goal of achieving a connect with the community by sharing our humanity.
The common goal is to inculcate “think global, act local” attitude among students and fulfill one of the IB Community Theme. Our school has selected two of the IB Community Themes namely Education for All and Reducing Digital divide as the main objective of our CAS programme.
Our students are involved in four different set of activities to fulfill the education for all in our local Community, namely Teaching and Sharing, Hobbies Sharing, Health management and Service Learning on a weekly rotation basis. While carrying out these activities, our students share their knowledge of key subjects like ICT, Mathematics and the English language. We have also helped in setting up computer laboratories at these remote rural schools to bridge the digital divide and have ensured that they are being utilized well. Our students also help the village school students on the computers as peer instructors. We have also been identifying the needs and requirements of these schools in terms of infrastructure and resources and have been able to provide some of them by carrying out the various collection drives.
