MYP Class

Hello, my name is Ronda Pierce.  I am a parent of a MYP student in Durham, North Carolina, USA.

I am the co-Vice President of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  I discussed with our IB coordinator a project that I would like to see in our school.

As an international corporate employee I have had the privilige to work with many of my colleagues from around the world.  I have found that communication global is so much easier today.  I would like to see our school engage with other schools in the IB community.

Poverty

Well we can do a lot of things to eradicate poverty and even though many people say that there's no point of being so concerned about, I still think we should. It is because if we don't give up helping, it would eventually create a big difference in the future. We just need to have some patience and think about some better ways of how we can reduce poverty in our world. To think back, poverty is lacking the access to basic necessities, such as food, shelter, proper sanitation, education and clothes. So, we are putting in a lot of donations and hopefully we will see a big difference soon!

Poverty

I think that yeah poverty is bad obv. but like theres nothing we can do so like whats the point in getting worked up dya know what I mean?

Doctor Per 100,000 in Bangladesh and Canada

Did you know that in Bangladesh there are about 26 doctors available per 100,000 people? On the other hand, in Canada, there are about 221 doctors available per 100,000. Whereas, there are more people suffering in Bangladesh from all sorts of diseases. On top of that, there are the poor people who cannot afford for proper treatment.
