Not surprisingly, many of the issues incorporated in this theme are extensively addressed in the Diploma Program Economics course. Improving the lot of the 2/3 or so of the Earth's population living in LDCs is the single largest topic of study in the course.

I've used these for several years. Students are fascinated by the messages these slide shows present and appreciate how the animation makes them more interesting. Seems to me they would be appropriate for a wide variety of classes and levels.
