Education resources from British Red Cross

The British Red Cross has developed many teaching resources - lesson plans, games, assembly ideas etc - in issues relating to its activities. 

These include the following topics relevant to the IB community theme:  

Students as facilitators of discussions

Donna Hurst and colleagues at the International School Bangkok describe a model they have developed for use in Theory of Knowledge with their IB Diploma students (aged 16-18). This could  be used more generally, for instance in discussing global issues or current affairs.

Dogodogo - stories of street children in Tanzania

Dogodogo is a centre caring for street children in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. A new book tells the stories of some of these children in their own words and with their own illustrations. Originally published in Tanzania, it now reaches a wider readership in an edition just published by Macmillan.
