A philosophical journal article by Peter Singer, now Princeton professor of bioethics. He discusses what the individual reponse should be to poverty in other countries.

Has been infuential on a number of people.

As philosophical journal articles go, this is easy reading. But it still requires concentration and focus.

Tunza - youth site from the United Nations Environment Programme

The word “TUNZA” means “to treat with care or affection” in Kiswahili (a sub-regional language of Eastern Africa). The overall TUNZA Concept, therefore, is built around this theme. It is an initiative that is meant to develop activities in the areas of capacity building, environmental awareness, and information exchange, with a vision to foster a generation of environmentally conscious citizens, capable of positive action.

What education can do - 2007 big film from the Global Campaign for Education

This film captures children's voices from all around the world, saying what they could achieve if they had a good education. The film, made by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), goes on to show some of what the campaign has been doing to advocate for free good education for everyone.

Invites young people to join the campaign's activities in April and October of each year.

A website for young people. It includes information about certain global issues, views of other young people and suggests ways you can get invovled to DO something.

Although it is aimed at people in the UK, you may find some of the things interesting and useful wherever you live.
