Green Land Pré Vert International School students have won the IB award "the 2007 Robert Blackburn Award " for their community and service project: Polyclinic at "Geziret Mohamed" GPIS students decided to give a hand to the poor inhabitants of Gezirat Mohammed village and especially the poor patients who might die not having money to be treated. They tried to provide them with proper health care. They found a small hospital in this poor district. The hospital was empty of all needed equipments. GPIS students collected money by doing Bake sales, Garage Sales, Baby sitting, washing cars … etc. The goal was to provide this hospital with all requirements for clinics, operation rooms, administration rooms, cafeteria, kitchen… etc.

"This year we had some excellent entries which revealed the wonderful variety and strength of our CAS projects in Africa, so you can all be particularly proud of your success. We were impressed by the large number of quite young students that participated, the good organization and the team collaboration that went on within the project."
Quote from the letter sent from Jeffrey R. Beard, IBO director general, to GPIS.
