ive heard people call the program anti-christian, left wing,anti-american,and saying the UN is trying to take over America. I find these claims completely ludicrous. What are your thoughts?
You don't pray every hour, so it's anti-religious in general, not only anti-christian! Furthermore, it covers such themes like cloning, in vitro fertilisation and thinking on ToK lessons, and not christian views!
It's left wing because its aim is to create IB available for everyone in the world.
It's anti-american cause it's not american. Everything that's not SAT is pure evil.
Finally, it's not surprising that the USA, which is a member state of the UN, makes attempts to take over America, i.e. itself. It's all conspiracy of the american government!
It's so obvious that I'm shocked that I have to explain it to you. ;)
You should really do some research before making random, irrelevant, inaccurate statements.
Normal high schools do not pray every hour. Does that make THEM anti-Christian?? No. I can personally tell you that I am a very devout Christian, and I do not find IB offensive to my beliefs at all. I also don't think you are understanding your ToK lessons. Those do not teach anti-Christian beliefs. They are discussions of controversial topics of knowledge and beliefs.
Anti-American means "against America," not "non-American." Just because IB originated in another country does NOT mean it is AGAINST America. Also, it's good to learn about other cultures. If you only focus on your own culture, you will never know how other people live.
The American government is not trying to take over the American continent. It is doing its best to run the country as the public sees fit. Take a look around. There is no perfect country. Every country has its flaws, but that does not mean that the government has a conspiracy.
