I just recently found out that my school, George Washington High School, will be emgaging our first IB Cultural Exchange trip to Italy. As many know learning a new language that is not offered in ones school can be pretty challenging when it comes to finding reliable resources. So I am asking if there are any suggestions to programs or even if a student who is fluent in Italian may contact me and schedule some email or Video/Voice chat lessons. I believe it is the least, and a responsibility, to respect ones country and at least attempt to learning it so that our cultural exchange is not "lost in translation."
We previously had Turkish students exchange at our school and I found it amazing that a few were able to translate for their classmates and understnad us.
