IB-MYP chemistry 'one-world essay' please give me some suggestions! thank you

Hi friends,

 I am jaydip, (pronounce it as 'joy-deep') teaching chemistry at IBDP level at kodaikanal international school, tamilnadu, india. This year i have been assigned with MYP-year 5 classes also, in additional to my IBDP classes, and i am finding it quite challenging to handle stuffs like 'one-world-essays' etc. If anyone of you are teaching CHEMISTRY at MYP level and give me some idea about the 'one world essay' you have used for your class for various topics, i will be really thankful to you,

The pros and cons of Technological advancement

I have come to think of the topic: if the vast advancements in technology is actually good for human race?

Of course most of the technology that we produce is to help us, to make our lives convinient, but by doing this we put ourselves in a situation where we may become more and more lazy, depending most of our lives onto technology. Even communication technology advancements, would it not be restricting human to human contact?

A request for participation in collaborative activities between a 9th grade class in Colorado (USA) and you (the world)

Hi. I am a science teacher of myp (Adams City High School ) in Commerce City Colorado (Denver area USA) and I am looking to establish teacher - teacher and student - student collaborative interactions on global issues.

My school district provides educational oppotrunities to many families of low socio-economic status and English as a second language. We are a "low" achieving school according to Colorado State Standards and assessments.

HGD Web quest-Millennium Goal #6 "Combat HIV/AIDS..."

To facilitate Millennium Development Goal number 6 "Combat HIV/AIDS and the incidence of malaria and other major diseases, I made a webquest for middle school students to educate them about their bodies and sexually transmitted diseases.  The webquest product can be as little as completing a work sheet about the information to making a power point educating others about human growth and development.
