During the week of February 9th - 13th, Fridley Middle School students in Ms. Maki's class were busying selling valentine cookies to raise awareness and money for a fellow student and the Epilepsy Foundation. The students raised over $770 as well as selling out of the cookies. The parent of the student the money was raised in honor of was quoted stating the following,
" I cannot express my husbands and my feelings when we were told about the fundraiser. It brought tears to our eyes and hearts. We so appreciate our community bending over backwards to make life better for our daughter. "
Way to go students, a little hardwork paid off in a big way. Thanks to the teachers, paras, and the Fridley community for supporting this event.
