I have come to think of the topic: if the vast advancements in technology is actually good for human race?
Of course most of the technology that we produce is to help us, to make our lives convinient, but by doing this we put ourselves in a situation where we may become more and more lazy, depending most of our lives onto technology. Even communication technology advancements, would it not be restricting human to human contact?
And the dangers of technology towards the environment, we produce so much CO2 in the name of technology, for electricity, while we are not doing enough to prevent global warming from happening. The not efficient enough environmently friendly technology like solar pannels, they just arent good enough to keep up with our developments in technology.
Then ofcourse, the most costly, and dangerous, yet worth researching and fastest developing technology, Military technology. The effect that nuclear technology has bought upon us, we now have monstrous weapons that can end a civilizations with a single button, are we not to say that this is a negative point to us? We are advancing too far ahead to what we can control, contain ourselves into.
Even in medical advancements, we are trying to step in, playing god. Genetical engineering, cloning, such immoral technologies.
Despite having all the wonderful things that technology provides us with, is it not true that we are destroying more than we create and help?
