International Conflict Resolution - online survey

Submitted by Simon A on Tue, 03/02/2009 - 9:30pm.

The Stephen Perse Sixth Form is hosting a student conference on the theme of International Conflict Resolution on 18th March 2009. Being in Cambridge, UK we are very fortunate to have a Visiting Fellow at Cambridge University (usually based in Uganda) coming to talk to students about Opportunities for Peace Building in Africa. A local NGO group, Concordis International (http://www.concordis-international.org/) is also speaking at the event. We are hoping that students from several schools (mostly IB schools) will come to the event.

We would very much value the input of any students from across the world community through our online survey which is very quick and easy to do. From Wednesday 4th February we will be putting a link to the survey from our website (www.stephenperse.com/survey). We will make the results available to you all - the more people that do the survey, the more representative the results will be! The survey will form part of the discussions and debate of the day.

We are very interested in seeing the perceptions of international conflict that students might have and their feelings about what they themselves and about what their country can do to help to tackle conflict. Please encourage anyone you know to complete the survey.

The survey might encourage some blogging on this site too - that would be great to see and learn from.

with thanks

Simon Armitage. IBDP Coordinator.
