This online guide gives practical advice on service projects and global citizenship initiatives in schools. It was written by David Harrison of the Western Academy Beijing (an IB World School) during an ECIS (European Council of International Schools) fellowship.
It also includes case studies from schools of successful service activities for all ages and links and references to other helpful resources.
The guide is directly relevant to all IB schools - not just to international schools - with references to the IB learner profile and to CAS requirements. It will be particularly useful to schools beginning or developing their service programmes and to new service coordinators.
