Don't be put off by the name. A very useful website for teachers of English wishing to include global issues and concerns in their teaching. Links to resources and teaching materials.

Statement of Purpose

TESOLers for Social Responsibility (TSR) comprises TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) members who are actively engaged in integrating language teaching with social responsibility, world citizenship, and an awareness of global issues, such as peace, human rights, and the environment. The caucus aims to promote social responsibility within the TESOL profession and to investigate content, methods, and materials which promote tolerance, international understanding, and action for a better world.

Very good page and helps

Very good page and helps students create awareness of the world around them.  This enables the student to more actively see and participate in the issues affecting us all - it brings the IB right to their doorsteps and forces to face issues!!  Our students will greatly benefit!!
