I'm a new IB teacher interested in what creative options are being produced by students. Evidence from my school site and investigation online suggests that these creative options for WL#2 are all text - no visual products. Are there any teachers out there who have had students produce a visual piece with a solid statement of intent? What is the IBO position on this?

Hi there, and thanks for your post.
Have you signed up to the OCC - the online curriuculum centre? The OCC website is for teachers and administrators only and deals with all general IB curriculum matters. If you ask your question there, you are likely to get a better response. This community theme website here is concerned with the community theme and global issues, so is less likely to get response to queries relating to more general curriculum topics and issues. On the OCC there are also subject-specific site moderators who can respond to certain matters.

Thanks, Boyd.
Have just investigated the OCC and figured out how to use the resources. I've posted there and will wait to see...
Again, thanks for taking time to mentor me through the process.

talking about world literature. do you suggest me doing an objective essay for SL or a subjective one?. I really don’t know whether to write some pieces of poetry or just stick to the point in simple writing.
