One Million Acts of Green

One Million Acts of Green is a CBC and Cisco sponsored initiative that will go worldwide June 30th. The focus of the site is to encourage people to acknowledge their Green Acts. There is a personal profile section where you can log your acts of gree, a blog to share ideas, a community section that highlights what different communities are doing for the planet and more.  Sharing our responsibility encourages us to reach out and extend our understanding.  Enjoy!

World Malaria Day is an opportunity to remember and find out more about this devastating but preventable disease. Malaria affects 550 million people in the world and kills 3 million people each year.

2009 marks the second United Nations World Malaria Day.

IB World Student Conference

We are planning an IB World Student Conference for August, 2010, focusing on the six common topics related to the IB community theme, "sharing our humanity."  The conference is jointly sponsored by the Northwest Association of IB World Schools and Oregon State University, and will be held on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis, Oregon -- USA.  Watch for details.  A website should be available soon, and registration is tentatively scheduled to begin in September, 2009, for international participants.
