Summer School in 2009

I am looking for any summer Mid-IB course for my girl.  She is attending first year now.  Anybody could give me any idea?

On the other hand, she is attending English A1 standard which she needs more help.  How could we help her in this area?

Poverty

In our TOK class, there has been debate on whether a person that grew up in the States or Bangladesh would end up giving more aid or charity. While opinions were divided, I am absolutely convinced that a person like me who has spent his childhood in an impoverished nation will be more sympathetic towards the poor.

IB MYP Music Teacher

MYP Class

Hello, my name is Ronda Pierce.  I am a parent of a MYP student in Durham, North Carolina, USA.

I am the co-Vice President of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).  I discussed with our IB coordinator a project that I would like to see in our school.

As an international corporate employee I have had the privilige to work with many of my colleagues from around the world.  I have found that communication global is so much easier today.  I would like to see our school engage with other schools in the IB community.

Poverty

Well we can do a lot of things to eradicate poverty and even though many people say that there's no point of being so concerned about, I still think we should. It is because if we don't give up helping, it would eventually create a big difference in the future. We just need to have some patience and think about some better ways of how we can reduce poverty in our world. To think back, poverty is lacking the access to basic necessities, such as food, shelter, proper sanitation, education and clothes. So, we are putting in a lot of donations and hopefully we will see a big difference soon!
