IB marks Earth Day, 22 April 2010.
Earth Day is 22 April. Starting in a small way 40 years ago, it now involves a billion people finding out more about our shared planet, and taking action. Following a resolution in 2009, the UN has now designated 22 April as Mother Earth Day.
IB is inviting IB World Schools to mark Earth Day by taking part in activities and teaching the specially written IB global lessons on or around 22 April.
IB global lessons will be available for
Theory of Knowledge in the Diploma programme (also relevant for Ecosystems and Societies, Geography and Biology)
Humanities in the MYP.Lesson plans and materials will be posted to this site.
There will also be links to relevant websites, and suggestions for all programmes of action that schools and individuals can take.

Celebrating Earth Day
Celebrating Earth Day reminds on how to take good care of our environment. Meanwhile, John Edwards should get a savage burn from this upcoming book, The Politician. He ran a savage burn on his aide, Andrew Young, and he has some sort of comeuppance due for it. Not only did he have an affair, and love child with Rielle Hunter, he said it was Young's baby, and got Young to fake a paternity test and then have an actual one done. Young is going to get more than a couple payday loans worth from his book, that's for sure, but someone like John Edwards should have done FAR better by his people, never mind the voters and his own family.
LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW MORE ABOUT COLOMBIA´S BIODIVERSITY TO CELEBRATE EARTH´S DAY.
Hi, I´m Social Studies teacher in the PYP. My Fifth graders are working in the concept of sustainability during this month. We plan to revise how our country is working to protect Earth by creating sustainability programs in our agricultural fields, etc. I am looking for a group to work sharing our experiences through blogs or videos, videoconferences, etc. The idea is to share what our beautiful Earth is plenty of!! and promote in our students ACTIONS to use resources with responsibility.
I´m waiting for YOU!!!
