Global lessons on global poverty now available in all languages

IB global lessons and all associated materials on global poverty are now posted in English, French and Spanish.

Lessons are available for IB Diploma Theory of Knowledge and Middle Years Programme humanities.  

The Middle Years Programme is also available in Chinese. Click on Global lessons on the homepage in English, and look under The lessons.

Materials in English for the global lessons on poverty are now available on this site. Click on "Global lessons" above the picture on the home page.

Materials in French and Spanish, and the Middle Years Programme in Chinese will be posted shortly.

Updated Community theme Powerpoint uploaded

Updated introductory Powerpoint presentations on the IB community theme are posted as attachments on the "About the IB Community Theme" page.

The longer version has been used in recent conference presentations, and we encourage you to use it - or the shorter version - in schools. Show a presentation at a staff meeting or with students or parents.

Presentations will be updated from time to time.

Versions in Spanish and French to follow.

Make Poverty History

At our school in the south Sweden, there is a student organisation called

Make Poverty History

About 60 students work, parallel to their studies, fighting Poverty. Malmö Borgarskola is ONE school, and here is what we have accomplished since 2005 - when the organisation was founded:

SHARING YOUR PYP EXHIBITION WITH THE IB COMMUNITY

It is very encouraging that a number of schools are linking, or have linked, their PYP exhibition with the community theme.

Now we have this website, IB would like to encourage schools linking their PYP exhibition to the community theme to use it to share their exhibition work with others.

We have just set up a facility for people to contact one another by email via the website.

If you wish to make it possible for people to contact you to respond to a post, please go to your profile page, and click on Edit.

Scroll down, and there is a box you can tick which enables people to contact you.

Although people can then contact you via this website, they are not provided with your email address.
