Reflections under the IB community theme - A poem by a 16 year old IB student in Green Land Pré Vert International School

I'm an MYP student in Green Land Pre Vert International School- Egypt. My personal projet is under the IB community theme. It is a book of poems expressing teens' fear of the future towards global poverty. This is my first submission under the name of: "The Good Part In Me". I hope it provokes people into action towards eradication of poverty.

Volunteer programme

Red Cross Nordic United World College (in western Norway) maintains a volunteer programme that enables and assists Diploma graduates to serve as volunteers with organisations across the world.  The picture shows Primary children in the playground at Raselas Diversity School, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, March 2008.   Please see http://volunteers.rcnuwc.no/ for further details.

am mr ravind rampat from mauritius. my son is doing his studies in india in and IB school and he is facing so many problem with the school because of the subject. he want french as HL but the school is not ready to give him. as i told you am from mauritius and over here we talk in french. so how is that possible when my son is from a french county and he dont get french HL so i would like you all to take an action against that.

Sharing Our Humanitiy - International Walk To School Day

On October 8, 2008 Hayes Elementary families, friends, students, staff and community members took part in a community wide education exercise entitled, INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL DAY.  Hayes partnered with Safe Kids Minnesota and FEDEX to raise community awareness about pedestrian safety.  Parents were encouraged to walk to school on this day with their children.  On the way to school they were greeted by FEDEX and Safe Kid Minnesota volunteers who passed out stickers and high fives.  Once they arrived at school they were invited to participate in a continental breakfast and a ceremony i

Green Land Pré Vert International School - Egypt- Poor Village Development Plan

Green Land Pré Vert International School in collaboration with Green Land Charity Association are adapting a poor village near the school called Gezirat Mohamed. The village is extremely poor and needs help in all aspects. GPIS planned eight projects developing the main aspects in the village.Attached is  a document describing these projects

IB Community theme in action at United World College-USA

Dear  IB-ers,

We are a two-year, all-boarding IB Diploma school.  We adopted the IB Community theme as the theme for our latest newsletter.  In it, we highlighted some of what our school has been doing in terms of the High Noon topics (Global poverty, Education for all, Peace and conflict, Global infectious diseases, Digital divide, and Disasters and emergencies).
